Armstrong Stainless Steel Thermostatic Air Vents AV-348

Description

Armstrong supplies thermostatic air vents for the positive venting of air and other non-condensable gases from steam in chamber-type heat transfer equipment.
Typical applications include jacketed kettles, vulcanizers, sterilizers, autoclaves, and other enclosed equipment where air can accumulate in remote areas of the steam chamber and reduce heat transfer efficiency. These vents are balanced pressure thermostatic air vents that respond to the steam pressure–temperature curve. Air is automatically vented at slightly below steam temperature across the entire operating pressure range.

For pressures up to 20 bar
Capacities up to 177 m³/h

Features:
Suitable for pressures from 0–10 bar
All S04-L stainless steel bodies – sealed construction
Balanced pressure thermostatic element vents air at slightly below steam temperature across the full pressure range – no adjustments required
Armstrong thermostatic vents should be installed at the highest point of a steam chamber, with the air vent located above the chamber.
This minimizes the possibility of liquid carryover and allows air to be vented safely to atmosphere without the need for a drain line.
